Welcome to the Research and Education Network Operators Group (RENOG) homepage.

The goal of RENOG is to facilitate the technical discussion between network operators in global research and education networks. The dynamics and topology of the R&E networks are often different than those that exist in the commercial world. RENOG provides a mechanism for technical discussion of issues and challenges specific to the R&E world. Engineers from all R&E networks worldwide are encouraged to join and actively participate in network discussion.

To participate in the RENOG join the RENOG discussion list.

The RENOG has been endorsed by the Coordinating prednisone Committee for Intercontinental Research Networking (CCIRN).

The RENOG is not meant to replace or supplant the regional, commercial operators' groups, such as NANOG, SANOG, AFNOG, PACNOG, or EURONOG.

For discussions regarding international coordination of lambda networking, see the GLIF.
